Zahraa Nasser Jazayeri

Before joining Kaplan Martin, Zahraa clerked for the Honorable Stephanie D. Davis of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and for the Honorable Jack Zouhary of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.

At Notre Dame Law School, where she earned her J.D., cum laude, Zahraa developed a strong foundation in advocacy and constitutional litigation. She represented asylum seekers before the Chicago Immigration Court through the National Immigrant Justice Center, where she secured asylum for clients. She also drafted amicus briefs to the U.S. Supreme Court through the Notre Dame Law School Religious Liberty Initiative, addressing issues of religious freedom and constitutional rights.

Zahraa served as Executive Editor of the Notre Dame Journal of Law, Ethics & Public Policy and as a member of the Moot Court Board’s Showcase Team. She received the William T. Kirby Award for Excellence in Legal Writing, the Conrad Kellenberg Award for Commitment to Service, and the A. Harold Weber Moot Court Award.

She earned her B.B.A., cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago, where she was a Presidential Scholar.

Zahraa is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
